Calantha was trained under the hand of the great Cleric himself, leader of the Cleric Guild in their hometown- and he was held in high regard in other fairy territory, too. However, her training only lasted a few short months- because her city was burned.

The setting of a forest clearing- the sky above was an amazing, brilliant blue. Not a cloud hindered the vast expanse of azure bliss. However, the black shapes of birds flying overhead, back from the South. They reveled in the beautiful sky, swirling and diving, gliding through loop-de-loops and then, as they landed, all together in one large black shape, they took to the trees. Thousands of them. The branches were weighed down by these creatures, which had no greater wish than to rest in the shade of the leaves after their flight. So they did. The forest around the birds seemed to
